The latest status update on Apple’s marks gives us the news that, Apple’s FASTMATH trademark has now been cancelled under Section 8 of the Trademarks Act.
The trademark application registered in 2003 for the mark FASTMATH bearing registration number 2780706 was filed with the description Semiconductor devices.
A point to note here is that an application by name of FASTMATH already exists, created by Hugh Bayer and can be download on iTunes, iPhone and iPads.

The tagline is “Practice basic math skills or just exercise your brain with Fast Math.” This is mostly to refresh your mind with building math equations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The numbers and type of equation are randomly generated, so you are assured a constantly changing challenge. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a High Scores table to give the game a real competitive feel.
